Important Remarks

If data entered is invalid the background of the field gets yellow
If the background of the field gets red there was a database access problem. Please open the Java console of your browser and try to repeat this and let me know the message shown in the Java console.
To open the Java console click Communicator -> Tools -> Java Console (on Netscape Communicator) or View -> Show Console (on HotJava).
Move the mouse pointer over the Complete Week button to get the total time entered this week. This button checks your total time against the rated time (time expected you work per week). The Button color shows you
- Red: Total time below 20% of rated time (you can't complete the week)
- Yellow: Total time below 80% of rated time
- Green: Total time between 80% and 120% of rated time
- Yellow: Total time above 120% of rated time
If you complete a week you cannot go back and you will get the next week.
Use the "Add Project" and "Remove Project" to add or remove selected projects to/from your list.
You can't remove a project from your list if there are entered values on it.

A part of the user interface gets red but nothing happens
If there is a database access problem, the affected part (e.g. button, choice) is colored red and may display the text DATABASE ERROR. In this case try to repeat the operation. The Applet tries to reconnect to the database automatically. If this does not work contact your database administrator.
Can't enter data on the time fields (Netscape)
See next paragraph below.
Employee and Project choices does show just one entry (Netscape)
You need to restart the ProjecTime Applet. As Netscape does NOT restart the applet if you reload the page, you need to force Netscape to do so by selecting Netscapes Location: field (where this pages URL shows) and pressing Return.
This happens if you are comming back to this page using the 'Back' button.

To enter the hours you worked on different projects.

Based on the data entered using the entry tool above there are several reports available. They are generated on the fly by using java servlets.

Project report
Lists all projects. You may get more details about individual projects from there.
Employee report
Shows a list of all employees and their total time entered for the last few weeks. You may get detailed Time Sheet like information for individual weeks/employees from there.

To setup and change Employees, Projects, Companies and Jobs in the database use the administration tool.
